Look, I’m not saying all isn’t well in the Dead & Company camp because from all accounts it sounds like things are going smoothly. BUT, young John Mayer learned a very valuable lesson last night in Bristow, VA: Give Bob Weir some space, okay?
This looks like one of those clips from Animal Planet where they show the aggressive lion bucking around and warding off other lions trying to calm him down. With just a flick of his guitar, Mayer knew it was much safer if he retreated over to the other side of the stage.
Bonus points to Oteil for flashing that “yes, you fucked up” smile to the guitarist. Let’s consider this lesson learned.
