North Carolina’s BIG Something will release their fourth studio album,Tumbleweed, this Friday, February 24. As we’ve said of the group in the past,One listen brings on an urgent desire to see this tremendous six-piece tear it up live.” BIG Something drummer Ben Vinograd tells Relix, “This was our first studio project where we got to create music together in a really cool studio with amazing gear – living with our producer John in an artist house in the mountains of Asheville for two weeks. It was an unforgettable experience and probably the most fun we’ve ever had making an album. The songs, the sounds, the production, the performance – it is my favorite representation of the band so far.” Lead vocalist Nick MacDaniels adds, “Tumbleweed is a post apocalyptic desert trip. A journey through many different musical styles and lyrical worlds sprinkled with aliens, zombies and tidal waves.” Today we offer the premiere stream of Tumbleweed, which is available for pre-order in CD or digital formats.

BIG Something will celebrate the release of Tumbleweed with two nights at The Blind Tiger in Greensboro this Friday and Saturday. The group’s entire upcoming tour itinerary appears below the stream.
