The best team in college football paid tribute to the late Gregg Allman during their game yesterday as the Georgia Bulldogs held a halftime celebration of the late Allman Brother against South Carolina. 

The Redcoat Marching Band took the field to kick things off with “Ramblin’ Man” followed by spirited renditions of ‘Whipping Post,” “Midnight Rider” and “Black Hearted Woman.” Watch below. 

This marks the second college football tribute to a fallen rock star as the University of Florida took time to organize a singalong to Tom Petty’s “I Won’t Back Down” following the passing of the Gainesville, FL icon. Allman of course rose to fame in Macon, GA, located about 100 miles from Athens.
