During his show at the O2 Arena in London today, Paul McCartney welcomed out special guest Dave Grohl to sit in on guitar and vocals for “I Saw Her Standing There.” This was the first of two shows for McCartney at the London arena, with additional highlights including the live debut of “Temporary Secretary” from McCartney II. 

The former Beatle and Grohl have a long history together, as McCartney was involved with Grohl’s Sound City documentary. At the Grammys, after accepting the award for Best Rock Song, McCartney, Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear formed “Sirvana” to perform the tune that won the award–“Cut Me Some Slack.” They would play again together on Saturday Night Live.
