Modest Mouse continued their promotional tour with a stop at The Late Late Show, marking new host James Corden’s first musical guest. The band delivered a rendition of their new tune “Be Brave” from their latest Strangers to Ourselves. Replay that performance below.

The group also dropped a few hints about their next album in an interview with Hot Press (via Consequence of Sound), Isaac Brock revealed the band’s seventh LP is nearly complete, is a “companion piece” to Strangers to Ourselves and features at least one track with Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic.

“We ended up finishing tracking with one of his songs that will end up on the next record,” Brock said. “You’d recognize it. It sounds like a bunch of boulders falling down a mountain!”

Brock said the band plans on releasing the record by this time next year.
