Video Premiere: The Mother Hips “It’s Alright”

March 23, 2018

California’s own The Mother Hips will return with their 10th studio album Chorus on June 8, marking their first new release in five years—a period of time that has included a number of personal challenges for the members of the band, including a nearly fatal speed flying accident suffered by co-founder and singer/guitarist Tim Bluhm—and the group was excited to get back into the studio and release Chorus as they celebrate their 25th anniversary together.

Today, we premiere the video for new album single “It’s Alright,” featuring Mother Hips fans engaging in various outdoor activities. “Last summer, I woke up from a dream with the chorus of this song in my head,” group co-founder Greg Loiacono says of the tune. “To listen to it now and watch this video is like having that dream fulfilled in an unexpected and wonderful way.”

“I enjoy this video so much,” agrees bandmate Bluhm. “It’s delightful to see members of our community getting after it and having a good time outdoors—we’re so thankful to everyone who contributed their footage.
