The Rolling Stones Postpone New Zealand Tour Following Death of Mick Jagger’s Girlfriend

The Rolling Stones have called off the rest of their Australia and New Zealand tour dates following the death of Mick Jagger’s longtime girlfriend L’Wren Scott. The band are planning to reschedule the shows for a later date, though those details have not yet been determined. The show promoters have asked that ticket holders keep their tickets until further notice.

A statement from the band reads:

The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry and disappointed to announce the postponement of the rest of their 14 ON FIRE tour of Australia and New Zealand following the death of L’Wren Scott.

Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood wish to thank all of their fans for their support at this difficult time and hope that they will fully understand the reason for this announcement.

As previously reported, Scott was found dead in New York City yesterday of an apparent suicide. Jagger has released a statement on her passing.
