The Black Keys Make Request of President Obama Following Tweet

July 1, 2015

President Obama held a Twitter Q&A today and while most of the questions focused on health care and other initiatives currently on his agenda, there were some other questions fired at the Commander in Chief like what he thought of his Chicago Bulls locking up Jimmy Butler long term (he approved) as well as what he’s listening to today. His answer was OutKast’s Aquemini track “Liberation” and The Black Keys’ “Lonely Boy.”

While OutKast’s Big Boi Instagrammed a screenshot of the tweet, The Black Keys responded directly to the President with a totally reasonable request.

Unfortunately President Obama was unable to offer the band a ride, but he did make a solid case for a post-Presidency job as the booking agent for 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
