Steve Perry to Perform with Journey at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

April 7, 2017

Journey will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tonight during a ceremony at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and TMZ has learned that former lead singer Steve Perry, who was already set to appear with his old bandmates tonight, will be performing on stage with the group during their set tonight.

Perry, whose vocals became one of the most recognizable parts of the classic Journey tunes, parted ways with the band in 1988. Journey currently employs Arnel Pineda on vocals. And, as guitarist Neal Schon pointed out during a Jambands.com interview last year, Pineda has now been in the band longer than Perry’s tenure in the ’80s.

TMZ also reports that Journey will play three songs tonight, “Lights,” “Separate Ways” and, of course, “Don’t Stop Believin’,” with Perry joining in for at least one of the tunes.
