Roger Daltrey Announces New Solo Album Featuring Pete Townshend

March 15, 2018

On June 1, Roger Daltrey will release a new solo album entitled As Long As I Have You.

The record, produced by Dave Eringa, will feature the singer’s Who bandmate Pete Townshend on seven tracks. Its tracklist will include both originals by Daltrey and covers.

“This is a return to the very beginning, to the time before Pete started writing our songs, to a time when we were a teenage band playing soul music to small crowds in church halls,” Daltrey said in a statement about the LP.

Daltrey will take on songs like “Into My Arms” by Nick Cave, “You Haven’t Done Nothing” by Stevie Wonder and “How Far” by Stephen Stills.

“[This record] shows Roger at the height of his powers as a vocalist,” Townshend added in a statement.
