Phish Announce New Album ‘Big Boat’ Due Out in October

September 7, 2016

Phish will release a new album and their thirteenth studio effort entitled Big Boat on October 7, marking their follow-up to 2014’s Fuego and the second album with producer Bob Ezrin.

The band teased an announcement earlier today when their socials all synced up to an image of a cloud. And shortly, the group released a video previewing some new music and revealing the album’s title and release date, which coincides with the start of their fall tour, kicking off October 14 in North Charleston, SC.

The last update received came from Trey Anastasio with an interview in Rolling Stone, where he said, “The band’s firing on all cylinders” while noting that recording was taking place in Nashville, Manhattan and at their Vermont barn, a longtime recording outpost for the group, as well as at the houses of Page McConnell and Mike Gordon.

More information will surely be announced in the near future. Watch the announce video below.
