Jerry Garcia’s Stinson Beach Home Up For Sale
Jerry Garcia’s Stinson Beach home is for sale according to Marinij.com.
Named “Sans Souci,” French for “without worry,” the house sits hillside and served as Garcia’s home for seven years in the 1970s. Listed at $4.35 million, Paragon Real Estate Group’s Jon DiRienzo notes that “it was much more bucolic and laid back” when Garcia lived there. “They had farm animals, a horse and a pet crow.”
“It was the most beautiful place, just as nice as it possibly could be,” Carolyn Garcia told the Independent Journal in 2013. “I grew pot in the garden out in back. It was a lovely place. It was just heaven.”
The home has exchanged hands several times although one keepsake from Garcia’s time there remains–the door to his studio which was reportedly crafted locally.
