Video Premiere: Mike Zito “I Was Drunk” (feat. Anders Osborne)

July 11, 2016

Today we premiere the official video for “I Was Drunk,” which appears on Keep Coming Back, the latest album from Mike Zito. Anders Obscorne guests on the tune and in the video. Zito explains, “‘I Was Drunk’ is a sad song. I called my friend Anders Osborne and asked him to write this song with me. We had recorded his song “One Step At A Time” in 2009 on my Pearl River album and it’s been a big song for me. It’s hopeful and positive. Anders and I have a lot in common. Our lives have been lifted from the hell of alcohol and addiction. Thank God. It was time to share some of the past with our audience. Times when things were not so good, not hopeful and really hurting those around us. Sadly, I feel most people can relate to regret and hopelessness, just as well as uplifting. We’ve all been through some shit times, and if we lived through it, we’re stronger for it. ‘I Was Drunk’ is a reality check of the past and what’ll happen if I drink again.” Mike Zito is currently on a national tour with his band The Wheel that extends into September.
