The Avett Brothers headlined Roots N Blues N BBQ Fest in Columbia, MO over the weekend and wound up collaborating with G. Love on his own tune “Milk & Sugar” towards the end of their set. Watch a clip of the performance below. 

The collaboration marked the next in a long line of performances between the Avetts and G. Love. For starters, Seth and Scott Avett produced G. Love’s 2011 record Fixin’ to Die and their on-stage musical partnership dates back to 2010 with performances at Summercamp Music Festival. 

Roots N Blues N BBQ also featured sets from Grace Potter, Jason Isbell, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Ben Folds, Houndmouth, Shovels & Rope and many others over the three nights at Stephens Lake Park.
