Florida’s Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival held its second annual event this past weekend, and some of the festival highlights included a massive, all-star PoWoW! superjam and an impressive moment that saw The Revivalists power through a bloody injury to finish their set.

Revivalists frontman David Shaw received a cut on his head near the end of the set, and, according to the singer, he didn’t realize the injury until he tasted blood and felt the impressive flow of it over his face (as captured in the Instagram post above). After cleaning himself up, Shaw returned to the stage to round out the set despite the injury. Watch a video of that below.

Other high points of the weekend included the return of the all-star superjam, which was led by Michael McDonald and brought together Eric Krasno, GRiZ, Antwaun Stanley, members of Vulfpeck, Snarky Puppy and more for improv and cover tunes including Earth Wind & Fire’s “Shining Star.” Moon Taxi also brought the energy with a set-closing cover of Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name.” Watch video clips from those performances below.
