Susan Tedeschi Brings the House Down on Star-Studded Version of “With a Little Help From My Friends”

March 10, 2017

A singlong version of “With a Little Help From My Friends” at the end of a benefit show is one of the surest things on this planet these days, and the Love Rocks Benefit at the Beacon Theatre sported a  massive gathering of musicians and celebrities alike.

When it was all said and done, the whole gaggle strolled out on stage for the Joe Cocker singalong and it was surely a sight to behold. On one end, Bill Murray, Joe Walsh and Gary Clark Jr. sharing a mic and on the other, Jackson Browne, Tash Neal, Amy Helm and the Blind Boys of Alabama, among many, many others.

In the middle was Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes and Billy Gibbons leading the ensemble on guitar while Susan Tedeschi absolutely burned the place to the ground with her lead vocals, to the surprise of absolutely no one.
