Will Ferrell Revives Harry Caray Impersonation on ‘Kimmel’, Suggests Caray is Dating Janis Joplin in Heaven

October 25, 2016

Legendary Chicago Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray has been dead since 1998, but that doesn’t mean he won’t be checking in tonight as the team plays their first World Series game in 71 years against the Cleveland Indians.

The occasion is so special, in fact, that Will Ferrell revived his famed Harry Caray impersonation from Saturday Night Live last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Ferrell, playing the erratic old announcer who dove off into far more tangents than Vin Scully ever did, suggested that Caray and Janis Joplin might have a little something going up there in heaven.

“Hell, I’m too busy putting the stones to Janis Joplin,” Ferrell joked when asked if he’s been keeping up with the election. “I don’t have a chance to tell anyone,” he said before singing Joplin’s iconic “Piece of My Heart.”
