Last night in New York City, NYU’s Skirball Center hosted a pre-party for the annual Global Citizen event dubbed “The World on Stage,” featuring a variety of performers including Warren Haynes, Regina Spektor, Tom Morello, Jon Batiste & Stay Human and many others. 

Among the highlights, a solo performance from Haynes that included his patented U2 cover of “One,” Morello teamed with The Kenyan Boys Choir for a take on Woody Guthrie’s political anthem “This Land is Your Land” and a collaboration between many of the stars last night as Morello, Haynes, Regina Spektor and Batiste came together for a take on the Beatles’ “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” with Spektor on vocals and Haynes and Morello holding down the guitar theatrics.
