Metallica’s performance at the Grammys went about as poorly as it could’ve gone thanks to someone or something unplugging James Hetfield’s mic before the live broadcast. Thankfully, we now have some clarity as to just how it was supposed to go as the band collaborated with Lady Gaga for their Hardwired standout “Moth Into Flame.”
“Haven’t seen him like that in twenty years,” Lars Ulrich said of Hetfield on The Late Late Show. “He’s a pretty chill guy, but the first five-ten minutes in the dressing room was not a lot of fun.”
