PBS aired Janis: Little Girl Blue last night, a Amy Berg-directed/Cat Power-narrated documentary as a part of their American Masters series.
The film includes some never-before-seen footage including interviews with Joplin’s sister Laura as well as musicians like Bob Weir, Kris Kristofferson, Joplin’s bandmate in Big Brother and the Holding Company, Pink and many others who share their experiences and memories of the famed musician who passed away at the age of 27.
