Rock and roll is indeed a contact sport and the other night at the Tennesse Theater in Knoxville, Annie Clark took the brunt of that as she climbed atop a stack of speakers and took a pretty hard tumble after losing her balance due to a speaker dislodging. Stereogum unearthed some details on the event, with crowd reports saying Clark milked the accident after realizing she wasn’t hurt too badly. She crawled to the middle of the stage and laid there, popping up just as everyone got really concerned. 

As you’ll see in the video below, Clark falls and then a security guard on the side of the stage runs out to prevent any speakers from falling on top of her, which would’ve obviously presented a truly dangerous situation. That security guard’s name is Patrick, and as Clark tweeted after the show (read more below), he quite possibly saved her life. Take a look at the video below via Instagram. 

Clark also fired off a series of tweets after the show, letting her fans know that she and Patrick the security guard were both okay.
