Watch Red Hot Chili Peppers Drummer Chad Smith Play with the Kansas University Band Last Night

College basketball season is back, folks, and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith got into the spirit by sitting in with the Kansas University band last night during their game against Kentucky.
Now, Smith is a well-known Michigan fan, so there is no particular connection to why he was sitting in with the band for a jam but nonetheless Smith and the horn section tore into a version of Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire” during a timeout. The good luck charm worked, as Kansas knocked off the Kentucky Wildcats.
