Watch Phish’s Proper “Sunday Morning” Opener on Red Velvet (Underground) Night

Another day, another themed opener for Phish at Madison Square Garden as the Baker’s Dozen rolls on. Tonight, it was Red Velvet night and the evening began appropriately with the band bathed in red lights and Jon Fishman leading the crowd on Velvet Underground’s “Sunday Morning.”
Fishman fully embraced the Sunday theme by leading a proper mass in the process, dressed in full bishop garb (Trey Anastasio also mimed blessing the band with holy water) as he sauntered around the stage singing the tune.
