Watch Phish Debut The Beatles’ “Strawberry Fields Forever” to Open Second Night of Baker’s Dozen

July 22, 2017

As tonight's donut flavor was strawberry, Phish kicked off their second of thirteen shows at Madison Square Garden with their debut cover of the Beatles' Magical Mystery Tour standout "Strawberry Fields Forever."

The song, which was followed by the equally topical "Halley's Comet," was streamed across the band's social media accounts as all set openers are during this run. It appears as if Phish will be featuring some donut flavor-themed songs as each night features a different flavor. Opening night was coconut, spawning overs of "Shake Your Coconuts" and an acapella "Coconut" set closer.
