Watch Patti Smith Cover Bob Dylan’s “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” at the Nobel Ceremony

Patti Smith stood in for Bob Dylan at the Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm to perform his own “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” at the ceremony for the award given to the singer-songwriter for Literature.
Dylan could not appear due to circumstances that made it “impossible” for him to attend, so it was up to Smith to perform in his honor. While she stumbled out of the gates (“I’m so nervous,” she said to the crowd), the performance is still Nobel-worthy.
