On April 20th, The Grateful Dead Movie returned to theaters for one night only to celebrate its 40th anniversary and following screenings of the film, a short documentary about the Dead’s legendary May 8, 1977 show at Barton Hall at Cornell University was aired.
The short doc, available to view in full below, chronicles the special night in the band’s history as well as the state of the band at the time. An official recording of the show is due out on May 5 and will be available via Dead.net.
