Singer-songwriter Jim James released his latest solo album, Uniform Distortion, at the end of last month, and the My Morning Jacket frontman stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday to support the effort and offer a couple of tracks from the record, “No Secrets” and “Throwback.” 

Unlike his solo acoustic tour set for this November, James was backed by a full band, including background vocalists, on Kimmel. Similar to his approach to Uniform Distortion, James seems happy to keep things loose in the live versions of these songs, letting his voice crack at points and ripping a couple of dirty guitar solos—and having a hell of a time doing it, I might add.
