Watch: Go Behind the Scenes of Arcade Fire’s “Afterlife” in New ‘Reflektor Tapes’ Clip

Arcade Fire’s Reflektor era is just that in the band’s history, an era that saw the Canadian rockers ascend to nearly unreachable heights throughout their extensive world tour. The band will present a summary of that time in the form of The Reflektor Tapes, a full documentary about the origins of their latest album in Haiti to sessions with James Murphy, undergound shows as The Reflektors and the following world tour that saw them headline Coachella, multiple international editions of Lollapalooza and play a slew of arenas around the world.

Today, the band has debuted another clip that centers on the tune “Afterlife,” one of the stronger cuts on the record. You’ll see the band performing it live interspersed with cuts of them recording the tune with LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy. Some of the early sessions for the tune start with Win Butler and Regine Chassagne along with drummer Jeremy Gara dressed up in some possibly Haitian-inspired masks.

The Reflektor Tapes hits on September 23 in select theaters for a limited time. To find a movie theater near you, click here.
