Watch: Deer Tick Welcome Tommy Stinson, Taylor Goldsmith and More at Brooklyn Bowl

Rob Slater on December 29, 2014

All throughout the week, Deer Tick is celebrating their 10th anniversary at the Brooklyn Bowl by performing some of their favorite classic albums in their entirety. On Saturday, the band dug into Lou Reed’s Transformer with special guests and last night they delivered The Beatles’ Meet the Beatles! with guests such as Tommy Stinson of The Replacements, Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes and The Felice Brothers. The Beatles’ sophomore effort featured some of their initial biggest hits including “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” “All My Loving” and more.

During the show, the band brought out Taylor Goldsmith for the George Harrison tune “Don’t Bother Me” and also brought everyone out at the end of the show for a singalong on “Goodnight Irene.”

Goldsmith also returned during the second set to reprise his role in Middle Brother, a group he formed with John McCauley of Deer Tick and Matt Vasquez of Delta Spirit. Dubbing themselves as “Little Brother” without Vasquez, the duo rolled through select cuts such as “Thanks for Nothing” and “Daydreaming.”

Deer Tick will return to the stage tonight at the Brooklyn Bowl to play Devo’s Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! in its entirety. Watch a replay of last night’s action below.
