Watch Dawes Play ‘Passwords’ Tracks on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’

July 11, 2018

Dawes released their sixth studio album, Passwords, last month, and the eclectic indie-rockers stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live last night to offer a couple cuts from the record, lead track “Living in the Future” and “Crack the Case.”

With the fantastically full beard that he’s sporting these days, frontman Taylor Goldsmith leads his band through the brooding but surprisingly explosive “Living in the Future,” leaning into the song’s heavy main riff and ripping a great guitar solo before the final chorus. The group then returns for “Crack the Case,” showing a decidedly different, softer side of Passwords, with some solid slide work from touring guitarist Trevor Menear.

Watch the tunes below. Dawes are currently off the road but return for some late-summer dates in August starting in California
