Watch Dave Matthews Band Cover “Superstition” with Stevie Wonder at Charlottesville Concert

September 25, 2017

Dave Matthews Band returned to the stage for their first show in over a year for a special concert for unity in their hometown of Charlottesville following the horrific events earlier this year that led to the death of Heather Heyer.

While on a shorter time slot than their normal shows, the band made it count by teaming with Stevie Wonder for three songs–John Lennon’s “Imagine,” his own “Love’s In Need of Love Today” and the finale of “Superstition.” It was the first collaboration between Wonder and Matthews (the famed singer noted they had just met today) and the musical portion was preceded by an impassioned speech from Wonder, who knelt with Matthews and prayed before jumping into the music.
