Saturday night in New York City saw Michael J. Fox host his annual fundraiser dubbed “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s: An Evening of Comedy and Music to Benefit The Michael J. Fox Foundation.” At the end of the night, the actor jumped on stage with musical guest Dave Matthews for a finale jam on “All Along the Watchtower” also featuring Steve Jordan and the Super Banned Band. 

Matthews played a brief set that also included solo takes on DMB’s newer “Samurai Cop” as well as a full band jam on their classic “Crush.”  Fox came out later for the finale of “Watchtower,” a staple in DMB-land for nearly the band’s entire career, to add guitar to the tune and bringing back every great Back to the Future memory in the process.
