Watch All Temple of the Dog’s Mini-Reunion at PJ20 in 2011

August 21, 2016

In 2011, Pearl Jam and a host of friends assembled at Alpine Valley for a special 20th anniversary celebration and two shows honoring every inch of the band’s storied career.

One of those highlights came in two servings on each night as Chris Cornell subbed in for Eddie Vedder for a preview of what would be Temple of the Dog’s first ever tour, announced five years later slated to kick off this November. Cornell joined the fold on both nights for tunes from many of the PJ members’ first band, Mother Love Bone, as well as Temple of the Dog.

On night one, Cornell fronted the group on MLB’s “Stardog Champion” as well as a duet with Eddie Vedder on the famed “Hunger Strike,” which they would also play on the following night as well as the live debuts of “Call Me a Dog” and “All Night Thing.”

As the band approaches their 25th birthday later this week (Ten was released August 27, 1991) and Temple of the Dog readies for their first tour ever, watch all eight songs cut together from both nights of Cornell collaborations.
