Watch a Full Pro-Shot Performance from Bon Iver’s 10-Night New York Run

December 22, 2016

Justin Vernon and his Bon Iver project recently wrapped up an impressive 10-night run in the New York City area, playing venues like The Capitol Theatre, Music Hall of Williamsburg, Kings Theatre and Hammerstein Ballroom, and today, NPR has released some pro-shot footage of the band’s show on December 4, the second of five at Brooklyn’s Pioneer Works.

Vernon gives an impassioned performance as always, backed by his four-piece, multi-instrumentalist band and a hefty saxophone ensemble. Tickets for any of the New York run were fairly difficult to get, so the below video is likely the closest you’ll get to having been there. See the full setlist below the video.

As NPR Music’s Bob Boilen puts it, “It was a visionary performance, fit perfectly to brilliant lighting and sound, seemingly executed down to fine detail by a guy in a Tipitina’s T-shirt, loose pants and high-tops: unassuming, seemingly uncaring, but most certainly in control.”

Enjoy.
