Ryan Miller of Guster wants to be your friend. No, really. The frontman is hitting the road in Vermont in search of new friends and he’s documenting the whole thing. After ten years in New York, Miller is moving to the home of the Phish to search for some, as he calls it, “high functioning weirdos” in one of America’s most beautiful and secluded locales.

“You don’t have to monetize everything here the way you do in a city like New York so you’re additionally unencumbered,” Miller says about the people of Vermont. Episode one featuring Jaimie Mantzel launches May 1 on PBS Vermont.
