The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is making the rounds and has fully infiltrated the music industry. After we called out Umphrey’s McGee, everyone seems to be jumping on the bandwagon and the trend has finally hit the Arcade Fire world. Bassist Les Claypool took the challenge (which you can view below) and nominated, among others, Arcade Fire multi-instrumentalist Richard Reed Parry who gladly accepted following the band’s show in Bangor, ME. Parry jumped off stage with the help of bandmate Will Butler to get doused with a bucket of ice water as to not destroy the band’s equipment. After all, they have a three night run in Brooklyn approaching.

Watch Parry accept the challenge following the band’s closing number of “Wake Up” in Bangor, ME.

For comparison, here is the initial challenge from Claypool who also called out Stewart Copeland and Geddy Lee.
