Video Premiere: The Dustbowl Revival “Busted”

November 16, 2016

The Dustbowl Revival recently released two tracks from their forthcoming studio album. The animated eight-piece recorded the new material with Flogging Molly co-founder Ted Hutt (Old Crow Medicine Show, Gaslight Anthem) and pushed a bit deeper into hard soul and funk realms. Today we premiere the official video for “Busted,”  the A-side of the group’s new single, which is now available at the band’s website in gold vinyl.

Video director Devin Schiro tells Relix, “When we all met to discuss the concept, it was a bit overwhelming because we all came at this together to come up with something that tickled everyone’s fancy, while also still being feasible on our time restraint, as the band was touring and had to sneak in this video shoot during a one day window they happened to be passing through Los Angeles. Shooting the band coverage was daunting to say the least. With around 75 separate layers of video in the timeline, trying to figure out how to squeeze in enough screen time with each member without rushing them through or cutting anyone short was a meticulous process, but luckily, each of them provided such amazing performances that it was always a matter of having ‘too much’ to choose from, never ‘not enough.’”
