Nashville artist Ron Pope will release his upcoming album Work on August 18 via Brooklyn Basement Records and today Relix is excited to premiere the video for the title track. 

On the song, Pope said, “This tune is the story of my life. It documents how I got here, from when a 7th grade teacher told my mother I’d end up in prison, to working on a loading dock in the early morning hours before high school, getting fucked up with my friends trying to figure out how to move past where I was standing, and all the way to today, the night I woke up in my bedroom sweating from a nightmare about still being trapped in that place. That’s the night I got out of bed and wrote this song.”
