Austin-based Mother Falcon has just released their third full-length album and major label debut, Good Luck Have Fun. The experimental indie orchestra continues to explore novel textures and soundscapes on the new album (which is now available for purchase). The band tellsRelix, “The concept for the ‘Water’ video was inspired by two aspects of the music: the hostility of the string and horn arrangement and the lyric ‘that’s not how this works.’ The initial version of the song closed out our last album, You Knew, but we re-arranged it to reflect this new and different energy that we wanted to express and hadn’t previously explored musically. The abstract performance video shifts through different environments that become more chaotic as the song progresses to embody the theme of the lyrics: the distortion that arises from overwhelming affection or idolization.”
