My Loneliest Debut is the fitting title of the first record from KINSEY, in which Nick Kinsey performed all the instruments. In the video that we premiere today, he welcomes some additional players to interpret some of the songs from the record: Dan Edinberg (bass), Hank May (guitar), Zach Tenorio-Miller (keys) and Ray Belli (drums). Kinsey tells, Relix “Having made my record all alone I thought it would be fun to do a full band live session and to share my studio and songs with some of my favorite musicians. We had a great time upstate and ate way too much Bolognese. I hand picked all these guys, all of whom are dear friends I’ve worked with before in various settings. The whole thing was filmed by my wonderful sister-in-law Mandy Kinsey who was very pregnant at the time. Dear friend Jesse Lauter, with whole I mixed the record, mixed the session as well. It was a family affair.
