Video Premiere: Elise LeGrow Reimagines Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love”

July 28, 2017

On her forthcoming album, Playing Chess Elise LeGrow takes a new look at the music of Chess Records artists such as Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley and Fontella Bass, crafting new arrangements that shine a fascinating, instructive light on these classic compositions. S-Curve Records will release Playing Chess, drawing together the producing team that worked on Joss Stone’s Soul Sessions: soul singer Betty Wright, S-Curve Records founder Steve Greenberg, and studio adept Michael Mangini. LeCrow was joined in the studio for the Playing Chess sessions by The Roots’ Questlove and Captain Kirk Douglas, along with the Dap-Kings horns and additional guests. Today we premiere the official video for her version of Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love.”
