Video Premiere: Dylan LeBlanc “Cautionary Tale” (Live)

October 28, 2015

Dylan LeBlanc’s third studio album, Cautionary Tale, is set for release on January 15. John Paul White (The Civil Wars) produced the record which features appearances by the Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard and Ben Tanner. “I’m extremely fortunate to have been involved with this record,” White comments. “I take great pride in the fact that I was asked to help capture such personal material. It’s been fascinating watching firsthand the changes he’s undergone since we met when he was just 12 years old. He’s weathered many storms, came out wiser, and we all now benefit – because this record wouldn’t exist without those trials and tribulations. It continuously rides that fine line between empowerment and despair. Dylan is a dear friend, an ally, and someone I greatly admire.”

Today we premiere a live version of the title track from the forthcoming album. LeBlanc tells Relix, “We shot the video at our local venue, club 116 in downtown Florence Alabama, Everyone from Tift Merritt to Roseanne Cash to JD McPherson has played there, and I have spent so much time watching shows and playing there myself. Shooting the “Cautionary Tale” video there just felt right, like being at home.”
