Video: Jack White Throws Out First Pitch in Detroit

The Detroit Tigers pulled out all the stops to make Jack White happy last night as the rocker threw out the first pitch prior to the hometown team’s game against the Padres. To ensure he had a good time at the game, unlike his experience in Chicago, the Tigers trotted out Santa Claus to catch White’s first pitch. Santa, Jack and Paws (the Tigers mascot) even took an adorable selfie before the game.

As for White’s pitch, it wasn’t the best (certainly no Vedder) but it made it to home plate. Also, kudos to Jack for bringing his own glove to the park like a real baseball fan. The Lazaretto rocker also brought along his Third Man Records Rolling Record Store and offered fans discounted vinyl throughout the night.

White will take the stage in his hometown tonight at the Masonic Temple aka The Jack White Theater. Watch the replay below.
