Life is good for Jack White. The guitar legend is currently destroying audiences all over the country with his latest Lazaretto tour, taking in baseball games and engaging all of the general badassery that comes with being a rock star. Recently, White scaled down his mega rock show for a headlining slot at the Newport Folk Festival, delivering one of the most memorable sets of the weekend. The finale of such a set featured a poignant tribute to the late Pete Seeger featuring some of the festival’s finest talent. Joining the guitarist and his super-talented band were the likes of John C. Reilly (yes, Dewey Cox), Shovels & Rope, The Milk Carton Kids and more for a singalong of “Goodnight, Irene.”

White wasn’t done playing music on that day, however, as he jetted over to Providence to sit-in with pal Beck for the entire encore of his show at the Performing Arts Center. White took guitar duties for “Pay No Mind” and even worked the slide on “Loser” before the finale of “Where It’s At.” Watch a replay of most of the action below.
