Video: Jack White Invites Crowd Member on Stage, Covers Jay Z and Lorde

Jack White is comfortably watching the throne of rock and roll at the moment. The Lazaretto rocker’s tour is currently storming through the U.S. and shows no signs of letting up. Through the first three shows of the second leg of the tour, White has delivered highlight after highlight. Starting at Forecastle Festival, White’s headlining set included an “Icky Thump” that sampled a bit of Jay Z’s “99 Problems” much to the delight of the crowd.

The following night in St. Louis, White dipped into the hip hop world once again with a snipped of “Gin & Juice” in “Seven Nation Army” and last night in Milwaukee, along with a tease of Lorde’s “Royals” in “Steady As She Goes,” the guitarist invited a crowd member on stage to rock during the “Seven Nation Army” finale. Just another week in the life of rock’s king.

Watch a replay of “Icky Thump” and “Seven Nation Army” below.
