Update: Bill Walton Finds Bike After Hilarious Exchange with Hawaiian Airlines
Yesterday we told you about the sad story of Bill Walton losing his bike after traveling to Hawaii. Walton loves his bike and he did just about everything to get it back.
The exchange started with the original tweet to Hawaiian Air and their response, with Walton stating he had been sitting at the Maui airport for FIVE HOURS. Can you imagine traveling all the way to Hawaii, ready to jump in the water and you have to wait in the airport for five hours? That sounds terrible. To make it worse, no one would tell Bill where the bike was.
@HawaiianAir I waited at the Maui airport yesterday for five hours and my bike never showed up. No one could tell me where it is.

Don’t ask him for his email, Hawaiian Air. Nonsense.
@HawaiianAir Why, are you going to email my bike?

And yes, we’re happy to finally report that Walton’s bike was reunited with its grateful owner. The world can now return to normal, or whatever version of normal we’re going with these days.
My bike is back!! Things are A LOT better now. Thanks Twitter and @mauicyclery for your help. I’m off to the volcano pic.twitter.com/n8BMjAXC7s
