Umphrey’s McGee shared this particularly playful version of The Doobie Brothers’ “Black Water” from their October 21 show at State College, PA’s State Theatre. Normally a staple in an acoustic setting, much like Brendan and Jake’s Acoustic Holiday Show, the classic cover showed up late in the second set that also featured standout performances of “KaBump,” “Resolution” and “Out of Order.”

The band recently announced a full batch of 2014 dates, taking the group to many familiar markets through April before their annual UMBowl and Summer Camp Music Festival slots. Shows of note include a three-night run in Chicago as well as the band’s first headlining arena show at North Charleston, SC’s Performing Arts Center. All ticketing for the remaining shows this year as well as in 2014 will be run through umTicketing.
