Umphrey’s McGee brought their annual UMBowl event to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY for the first time last night. After the introduction video from the Around the Horn crew, the band delivered four quarters of heavy improvisational music and surprise covers including several famed Capitol Theatre performers including The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa. UM also dusted off their cover of fellow Summer Camp host moe.’s “Rebubula.” Saxophonist Bill Evans would also jump on stage to perform with the group during the Stew Art Series only to reappear during the encore for the closing “Much Obliged” and “Glory.” Scott Harris shared some photos from the legendary evening.
