Tom Morello and Chuck D Talk Trump and the “Unhooding” of the KKK and Nazis
In an interview with UPROXX, Prophets of Rage’s Tom Morello and Chuck D spoke out on the recent actions and comments by President Trump in the wake of the terror in Charlottesville spurred by a white supremacist rally. Morello noted that “we should be totally pissed off” by what happened in Virginia and how the President handled the situation.
“He is clearly on record who he’s representing,” Morello said. “The Nazis and the KKK have unhooded themselves, because they’ve taken off the hoods in the Oval Office, so they feel more comfortable taking off the hoods in the streets.”
Morello also noted that “of course” things can get worse in the wake of Trump. Chuck D added, “It’s very important that culture and music speak its loudest as being a voice, because we can’t rely on government.”
