The White Stripes Really Predicted All of This, Huh

We all knew The White Stripes were ahead of their time musically but little did we know they were also ahead of their time politically speaking, as this verse to “Icky Thump” just feels hauntingly prophetic today.
Jack and Meg White first brought up the title track to their 2007 and final record with a Donald Trump-related t-shirt that combined his name with the song title in a way that you could probably guess. Now, White’s Third Man Records Twitter account is practically a shrine to those lyrics as users on social media spread it around given current events.
